I will never buy another amp, that uses a wallwart. I liked the sound, but they didnt hold up for very long. :mrgreen It's a SS modeling amp, and the Fender models sound really, really good to me. I was really impressed with how this little amp sounded I ended up walking out of the store with the PRS and the Mustang III. I would give the Katana the edge for other sounds and effects. I plugged it into the nearest amp to give it a spin, which was this little Fender Mustang III combo. I used this on my v2 Mustang to record jams or sketches with Rock Drum Machine. Although the GTX 50 might have better Blackface sounds. Bluetooth audio streaming has very noticeable latency, which shouldn't surprise anyone, but if you need something tighter there is still an AUX input to which you can send your iPad or iPod's headphone output. As of this writing, Bluetooth streaming works better on my iPad Air (iOS v10) than my iPod Touch 5G (iOS v9) I'm not sure why. This is very convenient if you prefer to sit in the middle of the room instead of right in front of the amp. IDevices that have Bluetooth LE can also stream app output to the Mustang GT, and there's an app to edit the amp settings and effects from your iDevice. It seems that just having it in the signal chain persuades the iDevice that there is sufficient power after all. Or if it does, the hub's power doesn't need to be plugged in. In my testing, with an iPad Air and iPod Touch 5G, the hub doesn't actually need to be powered. A workaround, which wasn't necessary on the v2 amps, is a USB hub. The third generation can also send its audio via USB to an iDevice, but when you plug it in, the iDevice says there is insufficient power. I've had the GT for a couple days and thought I would report. The second generation could send its output via USB to an iPhone or iPad with a Camera Connection Kit (CCK). "GT" is the third generation ("generation three"?) of Fender Mustang modeling amps.
